Schools/Colleges to re-open from today

Imphal, November 28 2024:
All schools and colleges will resume classes from tomorrow (November 29) after a hiatus of nearly two weeks.
Schools were closed from November 16.Notably, the decision to open schools comes a day after several student organisations urged the Government to reconsider resuming classes.
Two orders were issued by the Director of Education (S) and Joint Secretary of (Higher and Technical Education) to this effect today.
A notification issued by Daryal Juli Anal, Joint Secretary of Higher Education, announced that Government institutions, Government-aided colleges, and State Universities under its jurisdiction would reopen for regular classes from Friday.
Similarly, Education (S) Director L Nandakumar directed all schools, including private, Government-aided, and Central institutions, to open from tomorrow.
The Manipur Government on November 16 closed all the educational institutions in curfew-bound districts, including the trou-ble-tom Jiribam district, for an indefinite period.
Curfew relaxed from 5 am to 4 pm: Curfew being imposed in Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Thoubal and Kakching districts has been relaxed from 5 am to 4 pm on November 29 .
