Heirok MLA distributes 3rd phase monetary aid

Thoubal, August 28 2021: Heirok AC MLA Thokchom Rad-heshyam, for the third time, distributed monetary aid of Rs 50,000 each to 3 families in the constituency affected by the pandemic on Saturday.

During the distribution function which was organised by Heirok AC Covid-19 task force at his residence, Radheshyam personally handed over the monetary aid to the families of late Kh Ramanda of Heirok Part (II) Khundongbam Leikai, late Thangjam Pakpi Meitei of Ukhongsang and late Sh Damayenti of Heirok Part (I) .

Speaking at the solemn event, Radheshyam urged all concerned to take necessary precautions for staying safe ahead of the onset of the 3rd wave of the pandemic.

He then said that the assistance was provided out of love and empathy for fellow human beings.

The MLA also explained about the various central and state welfare schemes, while appealing to the people of the AC to avail benefits of the same.

CHIC Heirok in-charge Kh Mohenjit recounted that under the aegis of the MLA, the monetary aid was extended to 4 families in the 1st phase and 8 families in the 2nd phase, without any political strings attached.

During the programme, the gathering was also informed about how to apply for the various social welfare schemes, Ayushman Bharat, CMHT, Ujjwala Gas, etc, along with explaining about the documents and other necessary details required.
