Imphal, June 25 2022:
While hailing the role of nurses in patient care service and stating that there is not much difference between nursing staff members and doctors when it comes to taking care of the ailing, Health Services director Dr K Rajo has called upon the nurses to provide impartial care to all patients.
Attending the capping, lamp lighting and oath taking ceremony of 2022-23 batch of School of ANMs/FHWs held at Nursing School, Lamphel Sanakeithel here on Saturday, Dr Rajo said that the ceremony is the first step towards dedicating one's life towards patient care.
Nurses are like lower level doctors and they should always focus on providing impartial care to the patients, he said.
Eight nursing students, who secured top eight positions in the examination, were felicitated with presentation of certificates of excellence and cash rewards.
Manipur Nursing Council registrar Th Nandarani, JNIMS assistant nursing superintendent Lhingneilam Kipgen, and principal of the school K Dharmabati attended the ceremony as the presidium members.
