AMCTA urges Govt to issue UGC pay order

Imphal, June 25 2021: All Manipur College Teachers' Association (AMC-TA) has urged the state government to issue order for implementation of 7th UGC Pay Scales and UGC Regulations, 2018 in respect of college teachers and equivalent cadres in accordance with the state cabinet's approval of March 27, 2021 before July 10 .

The Association also submitted a memorandum to chief minister N Biren Singh on Friday urging him to look into the matter seriously so as to translate assurance of the government into action before July 10 to avoid undesirable movement from teachers of government colleges affiliated to Manipur University.

According to a statement of AMCTA, extended executive committee of the association held a meet through online on June 23 and thoroughly discussed non issuance of order by state government for implementation of 7th UGC Pay Scales and Regulations, 2018 .

The meeting encouraged online classes being conducted by teachers for the students and resolved to urge unit colleges to continue the online classes.

As per resolution of the meeting, the association submitted the memorandum to CM and urged the government to issue order for implementation of 7th UGC pay scales by July 10 .
