Covid tally reaches 16 in Tengnoupal

Moreh, May 25 2021:
With seven people in Moreh town and nine in Tengnoupal confirmed as positive for Covid-19 so far, the number of people contracting the infectious disease in Tengnoupal district has reached 16 as on Tuesday.
People previously considered that there is no positive case in the Indo-Myanmar town of Moreh despite confirming several positive cases in other parts of Tengnoupal district.
However, five people tested positive for Covid-19 in Moreh town on Monday.
Three Covid positive patients from Moreh Ward no.2 Mission Veng Hill Tribal Council Unit (IV) have been kept in the isolation ward of sub-district hospital, Moreh and one person each from Moreh Ward no 3 Phaisham Veng and Moreh Ward no (6) Tali Road are under home isolation after testing positive for Covid-19 .
Subsequently, Tengnoupal district magistrate N Praveen has notified the said areas as containment zones.
On Tuesday, 78 people underwent RAT at Tengnoupal PHC, out of whom nine tested positive for Covid-19 .
