OKDO celebrates, poll campaign begins

Bishnupur, May 24 2021: Oinam Kendra Development Organisation (OKFO) celebrated its 7th Foundation Day on Monday and kicked off an election campaign for BJP Kisan Morcha national secretary Kh Jibon, who is preparing to contest the upcoming 2022 assembly election from Oinam assembly constituency.

The foundation day celebration held at Erengban Awang Leikai was attended by OKFO president Th Inao wherein Kh Jibon declared commencement of his election campaign for the 2022 assembly election and said that he decided to contest the election to help poor and needy people.

He also said that preparation has been made to provide oxygen, hand sanitizer and face mask to frontline warriors who are vaccinating people at PHC, PHSC and CHC in rural areas of Bishnupur district to prevent them from contracting COVID-19.He promised to take up welfare schemes for farmers if elected and take up measures to ensure farmers avail their entitled benefits from CAU, ICAR and KVK.

Apart from this, he also promised to take up steps to improve road, electricity and water supply in 13 villages of Oinam and give more emphasis on improving education sector.
