Every society needs to follow law: Khemchand

Manipur Legislative Assembly speaker Y Khemchand has said that it is responsibility of every society to honour law and Manipuri society will move forward when the people work collectively with the mindset of 'nation first' without any discrimination between men and women'.
Addressing the gathering at the inauguration of Young Women Development Welfare Organisation office at Singjamei super market on Friday, Y Khemchand appealed to people to honour law of the land as this will uplift the society.
The event was attended by Y Khemchand as chief guest, Young Women Development Welfare Organisation senior executive member Th Rupaman-juri Devi as president and MSPDCL Engaged Employees' Union president Chanam Gyanen Singh as guest of honour.
Delivering the key note address of the function, organisation general secretary Rupanjali said that the organisation has started distribution of e-SHARM cards to 300 women of Singjamei AC and organisation will work towards ensuring benefits of the central sponsored schemes to women of the constituency.
