Students protest transfer of teachers

Following the transfer order of three teachers despite facing shortage of teachers at the school, students of Haoreibi Makha Leikai High Madrassa staged a protest demanding immediate cancellation of the order.
The school, which has classes from I to X, requires 22 teachers but currently has only 13.Expressing frustration, a class X student participating in the protest informed reporters that issuing transfer order in such a situation was unfortunate and discrimination of the students.
The student emphasised that such actions by the education department adversely affect the students' education.
She urged the chief minister and the education minister to intervene and revoke the transfer order in the best interest of the student community, ensuring uninterrupted studies.
If the demand is not met, they would intensify the protest, the student warned.
During the demonstration, protestors displayed placards which read "Student's careers cannot be compromised", "No teachers should be transferred", "Cancel the transfer order immediately," etc.
