MLA Shyamkumar assures to add more classes at KGBV Andro

In addition to free education facility provided to girl students of class VI to XII at the Central government run Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) in Andro, the same facility will also be extended pre-nursery to class V students of the school, assured Andro MLA Th Shyamkumar, who also promised to bear entire expenses for these students from his MLA's Local Area Development Fund.
As part of preserving nature and protecting environment, MLA Th Shyamkumar along with teachers and students of the school planted saplings inside the KGBV, Andro complex.
He told media persons that KGBV Andro has been upgraded to Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) with the initiative of chief minister N Biren Singh.
All the KGBVs in the country have been upgraded to class XII under PM SHRI scheme and KGBV, Andro will also add class XI from next year.
Apart from this, the school will have pre-nursery to class V and entire expense for students of these classes will be expended from his MLA's LDA fund until the state government initiates similar scheme, he added.
While urging teachers and students of the school to look after and spray water to the planted saplings every day, Th Shyamkumar said that planting trees will help in preventing global environmental degradation at least to some extent.
