EPU surveys Waisel Maril

Imphal, July 17 2024: With the stated objective to sanitise and maintain proper flow of water, Environment Protection Union (EPU) of Manipur conducted the first phase line survey of Waishel Maril on Wednesday.

In a statement, EPU informed that survey of the water channel was carried out by its members in collaboration with officials of the relevant department.

While appealing to the MLAs concerned to support the exercise, the statement mentioned that line survey commenced from Moirang Leirak, Nepra Menjor, Khwairakpam Leikai, and Maisnam Leikai under Sagolband assembly constituency, the source of the water channel.

The team continued along Meino Leirak, Keishampat Leimajam Leikai, Dhobi Machu Leirak, Tiddim Road, and further towards Thouda Bhabok Leikai and Hodam Leirak Machin in Keisamthong assembly constituency.

Additionally, they surveyed the channel passing through Nganappithong, Moirangpurel Keisham Leikai, and Haobam Marak Leirak and concluded at Upokpi Keithel Yangoi It also stated that the data collected from the line survey would be compiled for chalking up a long term action plan.
