MSDO felicitates meritorious students

Thoubal, July 16 2024: Muslim Students' Development Organisation (MSDO), Sangaiyumpham on Tuesday organised a felicitation programme to honour students who secured high marks in class X and XII examinations conducted this year.

The programme held at Sangaiyumpham community hall was attended by Outer Manipur MP Alfred Kanngam S Arthur as chief guest and Khangabok MLA Surjakumar Okram as president, while Sangaiyumpham Zilla Parishad ex-members Md Samsur Khan and Md Hibjur Rahaman, Thoubal Zilla Parishad ex-adhyaksha Md Ataur Rahaman, All Manipur Muslim Students' Organisation (AMMSO) president Md Imtiyas Khan, MSDO president Md Wahid Khan, Central Committee chairman Md Zamir Khan, Social Welfare Association (SWA), Sangaiyumphan president Md Najuruddin and social worker Md Janab Khan were present as guests of honour.

Speaking at the event, MP Alfred called for imparting lessons to students to be kind and perseverant, and contribute towards making Manipur a progressive and peaceful state.

Academician Dr Raheijuddin Sheikh, Department of Minority Affairs' deputy director Md Salauddin Khan, Kha Manipur College, Kakching associate professor Md Nejamuddin and Pettigrew College, Ukhrul associate professor Dr Md Inder Rahaman also attended the event as resource persons.

The function was marked by presentation of gifts to state toppers of class X and XII examinations conducted by BSEM, COHSEM and CBSE along with a doctor who had passed Medical Council of India (MCI) Screening Test.
