KVK-hosted Krishi Mela concludes

The 5-day Krishi Mela, organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Utlou as a part of the Krishi Swarna Samriddhi Week (KSSW), concluded on Wednesday at the KVK, Utlou conference hall.
The valedictory programme was attended by KVK, Bishnupur senior scientist and head Dr Kh Brajamani Meetei, KVK, Utlou SMS (Home Science) N Bandana Devi and SMS (Plant Protection) Kh Maipak Singh as presidium members.
In his address, Dr Brajamani highlighted that over the course of the 5-day training programme, farmers from Bishnupur district were provided with valuable insights on how to increase crop yields and add value to the products they produce.
On the closing day, participants were also briefed on a new, scientifically improved method for fermenting fish, which typically takes a year, but can now be done in just three months, producing a more flavourful result.
