Sharda pitches for imbibing spirit of nationalism

Imphal, August 11 2022: BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi has said that the spirit of patriotism must be instilled to all citizens of the country beginning from young children for a peaceful and united India.

Addressing students on the occasion of a painting competition organised by BJP state unit at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen, Palace Compound here on Thursday, Sharda said that BJP Manipur Pradesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been conducting various programmes as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration in commemoration of 75th year of India's independence and the painting competition on the theme of patriotism was also, held as part of the programme.

She opined that organising painting, recitation and other competitions on patriotism theme would instifthe spirit of patriotism and nationalism among young students.

Social welfare minister H Dingo, who also attended the event, said that he was elated to see participation of large number of students in the painting competition organised by BJP state unit and expressed that it help in instilling the spirit of patriotism among young Students.

BJP MLA Karam Shyam, Khadi and Village Industries chairman N Nimbus, BJP state general secretary P Premananda and other party leaders also attended the event.

More than 600 students from different parts of the state took part in the painting competition.
