TENGNOUPAL: Tengnoupal district administration and the National Informatics Centre (NIC) organised a district level awareness workshop on "Safer Internet Pay" at Khang-shim community hall , on Tuesday.
The workshop is aimed at educating local citizens and officials on internet safety practices.
The district's superintendent of police highlighted the importance of checking the veracity of messages received through WhatsApp, as fake news can incite a population.
The workshop also included an interaction with citizens about "Safer Internet Day".
The event was attended by DLOs, officials, and CSOs of Tengnoupal district.

KAKCHING: The district administration, in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre, held a one-day 'Safer Internet Day' workshop to promote responsible digital technology use to raise awareness about online safety, cyberbullying, digital privacy, and responsible internet use.
Resource persons, Langpokplakpam David and Thokchom Mangichand, delivered lectures on emerging cyber threats and cyber hygiene practices.
The workshop attracted 50 participants, including district information officers and officials.
Additionally, awareness programmes were held at Sora High School and Ka kching Makha High School, as part of the District Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan Action Plan.
The programme was attended by Nikita Thangjam, district social welfare officer Kakching, and Nu-tan Nongthombam, Asian Youth Leader Colombo Plan.
Headmasters of both schools pledged to make Kakching District drug-free.
BISHNUPUR: A one-day district-level workshop on 'Safer Internet Day' on the theme "Together for a Better Internet" was organised the National Informatics Centre (NIC) Bishnupur in coordination with the district administration on Tuesday at the DC conference hall, Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur.
S Gunamani Singh, AC to DC Bishnupur, and Rajkumari Romita, DIO NIC, discussed responsible internet use, educating users about cyber threats and mitigating techniques.
The workshop aimed at raising awareness and promoting safe and responsible use of the internet, particularly among children, women, and young people, was attended by district level officers and officials.
An awareness camp was also held at Bishnupur Higher Secondary School, featuring a PowerPoint presentation and quiz for students to test their knowledge.
