Stop terrorising people, end conflict: CPI

Denouncing use of excessive force towards students protesting failure of the Governor to translate his assurance into action within the stipulated time, Communist Party of India, Manipur State Council (CPI/MSC) has advised the government to stop terrorising the people and democratic protestors but prioritise finding solution to the conflict without delay.
In a release, CPI/MSC condemned use of excessive force against the civilians, stating that such tactics tantamount to dictatorship.
The student community has risen in protest as their patience has exhausted, and to express frustration over failure to restore normalcy and their uncertain future, it pointed out, while questioning how students are brutally beaten up despite being hailed as the future pillars of the nation in countless speeches and events.
