Imphal, February 10 2025: A hand grenade along with a threat note was found at the gate of one Konjengbam Jiten Singh (57) son of late K Chaothabal of Khagempalli Huidrom Leikai, Lane No 7, on Monday around 6:45 am.

The threat note, written in Manipuri, named three individuals - Jiten, Longjam Sarat, and M Prafulo - warning them of severe consequences if they fail to come to an understanding with the "party" .

The message stated that they should consider the threat as a final warning.

The grenade was suspected to have been placed by unknown persons with the intent to kill, injure, or intimidate the family members, police said.

Upon receiving information, a police team rushed to the spot to secure the area, and the grenade was safely removed.

A case has been registered under sections 109/351(3)/3(5) of the BNS and Section 4 of the Explosive Substances Act at Singjamei police station.
