COCOMI confers on 'Manipur Crisis'

Imphal, February 09 2025: The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI), in collaboration with local bodies, clubs and meira paibi groups, organised the first consultation meeting on "Manipur Crisis" on Saturday at its Lamphelpat office.

In a statement, COCOMI media convenor Laikhuram Jayenta, highlighted that the meeting was attended by representatives from various coordinating bodies, apex bodies and meira paibi groups from across the state.

The discussions focused on strengthening civil society organisations and exploring ways to work cohesively along with the public in state-related issues.

Issued discussed covered ways to launch effective agitations and foster greater community involvement.

Asserting that COCOMI acknowledges the valuable inputs and suggestions offered by various apex bodies, the statement pointed out the importance of community support in translating these ideas into action.

The committee also announced plans to continue meeting with different clubs, organisations and meira paibi bodies throughout the state to hold similar consultation programmes on a regular basis.
