Senapati observes World Red Cross Day

Senapati, May 08 2025: The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Senapati District Branch, observed World Red Cross Day 2025 at its branch office, here, on Thursday with the participation of executive members, advisors, and youth volunteers of the branch.

The programme commenced with a mass spoken prayer, followed by a benediction led by RS Abel, the senior-most member, advisor, and a member of the State Management Committee.

In his address, the honorary chairman of the branch underscored the vital role played by the Red Cross Society in present society.

He also provided an overview of the life and humanitarian contributions of Jean Henry Dunant, the founder of the Red Cross Movement.

The event concluded with the distribution of hygiene kits to individuals and volunteers.
