Kshetrigao Startup scheme set to begin soon

Imphal, May 08 2022: Powerpoint presentation on projects to be taken up by applicants of Kshetrigao Startup Investment Festival, 2022 initiated by Kshetrigao MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan as part of his poll promise to provide jobs to unemployed youth was held on April 29 .

According to Kshetrigao Startup Investment Festival, 2022 in-charge Yashir Khan, altogether 160 youths hailing from different parts of the constituency applied for the scheme.

Among them, 60 were selected and they gave power point presentation on their intended project/business on April 29.The best 30 applicants who could take up business successfully will be selected based on merit for the scheme.

The scheme will have three stages - idea, revenue and skill stages.

Majority of applicants as of now are of idea stage but those who have already started business and reached revenue stage will get more money.

Applicants who have already reached revenue stage and have to expand their businesses will be provided more funding, Yashir Khan said, adding that selected applicants will get Rs 50,000 to Rs 5 lakh based on their projects/businesses.
