Left parties demand resignation MoS

Imphal, January 07 2022: Apart from demanding resignation of Union minister of state for social justice and empowerment Pratima Bhoumik for leading BJP's attack at the office or Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee Thursday evening, state unit of Left parties namely CPI, CPI (M), Forward Block and RSP said all those involved in the incident must be booked and punished.

According to a joint statement of Left parties, the action carried out by BJP led by Union minister Pratima Bhoumik and BJYM state unit president Barish Sharma in front of Congress Bhawan at about 6pm Thursday was uncivilised and totally uncalled for.

Demanding immediate booking of all those involved in the attack, the Left parties said attack being carried out by BJP at offices of non-BJP political parties and innocent civilians even to killing not only tarnish image of democracy but also violates the Constitution.

It was very unfortunate that state forces remained mute spectator to excessive actions of BJP, the joint statement said and appealed people of the state to keep vigil against excessive activities of BJP.
