Kangokpi Town Committee members take oath

Kangokpi, December 06 2021: The newly elected 18 members of the 8th Kangpokpi Town Committee took an oath of affirmation during a ceremony held at the Multipurpose Hall of Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council (SHADC), Kangpokpi, on Monday.

The 8th Kangpokpi Town Committee Member Election 2021-2024 was conducted by the District Council Administration, Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council, Kangpokpi on November 27 following the lapse and dissolution of the 7th Kangpokpi Town Committee.

SHADC chief executive officer James Doujapao Haokip administered the oath to the elected members while the Returning Officer of the 8th KTC Member Election and SHADC additional CEO Th Lhingkhonei exhorted the elected members to Work in unison and dedicatedly far the welfare of the town in tandem with the district council.

Rev K Hangshing, chairman Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship, pronounced a blessing prayer for the newly elected members after the oath-taking ceremony.

The newly elected members are Paokhomang Kipgen (Ward No 1); Seipu Kipgen (WN 2); Chonkam Kipgen (WN 3); Helkhomang Hangshing (WN 4); Lalkholen Kipgen (WN 5); Manggougin Misao (WN 6); Tolminthang Misao (WN 7); Angam Leivon (WN 8); Thangkhohao Hangshing (WN 9); D Paominlal (WN 10); Seilam Singsit (WN 11); Seijang Sitlhou (WN 12); Satngam Kipgen (WN 13); Thangjangam Lhanghal (WN 14); Seijahen Singsit (WN 15); Seingam Singsit (WN 16), Lunthang Hangshing (WN 17); and Nehkhotinsei Kipgen (Ward No 18) .
