Feast of St John Mary Vianney Celebrated

Imphal, August 04 2015:
Dioceses and Fraternity of Imphal unit (DFI) celebrated the feast of St.
John Mary Vianney (1786-1859) on Tuesday at the Retreat House, Mantripukhri.
Around 60 Diocesan Priests representing various congregations came to take part in the feast and attended the Holy Mass service at 6.30 am at the Cathedral Church, Mantripukhri.
His Holiness Archbishop of Imphal Rev Fr Dominic Lumon was the main celebrant of the mass.
St John Mary Vianney, was a simple Catholic Priest working in Arcs at France and was later declared by the Pope as the "Patron of all Saints Catholic Priest" and to this day, August 4 is being celebrated all over the world as his feast.
In one of his statements, St John wrote "The Saint did not begin well but they all went well" .
On the occasion, friendly football and volleyball matches were played between St Dominic and St Vianney teams and a basketball match for the senior priests was also played later.
