Malaria month observed at CCpur

CCpur, June 30 2022:
District Malaria Office, Churachandpur in coordination with State Health Society, Manipur (National Centre for Vector Borne Diseases Control) observed Anti-Malaria Month-2022 at Synod Hall here on Thursday.
Additional DC Churachandpur Yumnam Nelson attended the observance as chief guest while State Ma laria Officer Dr AR Chishthi was the functional president.
Senior regional director (RoH and FW, Government of India) Dr LA Singh and DFWO Dr Sania Monica were also present as guests of honour at the observance function.
Speaking at the event, Yumnam Nelson informed that Malaria cases have come down to a great extent in the state since 2015 but it is necessary to remain alert by conducting awareness at vulnerable places particularly in flood affected areas.
He also stressed the need for having a collective understanding about the communicable disease among various communities.
Dr Sania Monica stated that areas which lack proper road communication like Thanlon, Pherzawl and Sin-jawl are highly vulnerable at this point of time as these areas get heavy rainfall.
