Oxygen concentrators donated to DH, CHIC

Imphal, May 31 2021: Unity Forum for Homeless and Landless (Ekta Parishad Manipur) donated two oxygen concentrator machines each to Bishnupur District Hospital and Patsoi CHIC on Monday.

Parishad's state convener Aribam Rishikanta Sharma handed over the machines to Patsoi MLA Ak Mirabai, who is overseeing the functioning and management of the CHIC located at State Academy of Training.

Rishikanta also handed over two such machines to CMO of Bishnupur district Dr L Gojendro, who later handed them over to medical superintendent of Bishnupur DH Dr Bino.

Ekta Parishad's partner organisation PRDA's secretary L Suranjoy, Manipur Voluntary Health Association president L Dhananjoy, Ekta Parishad state steering committee member Ningthoujam Bidyarani and Ekta Parishad Imphal West field activist Karam Tania accompanied him in the visit.

Mention may be made here that Ekta Parishad along with AMUCO had distributed immune booster medicines and foods to around 1000 households in Imphal West district.

PRDA had also distributed medicines to around 500 poor families in Bishnupur district.

In the first wave of the pandemic, the Parishad delivered foods to around 200 people of the state stranded in different states for a week, and also distributed foods to around 2000 households.
