MLA Nemcha inaugurates Kharkhola ground

Kangpokpi MLA Nemcha Kipgen inaugurated the newly developed Kharkhola ground on Wednesday and handed it over to local people.
The inaugural ceremony of the village ground was also attended by land donor Pushpa Prasad Upre-ty, former ADC Sadar Hills member Milan Pradhan and Kharkhola village secretary Roshan Dahal.
In his keynote address, Kharkhola Youth Club president Navin Chhetry said that Kharkhola has been neglected and deprived of all development for the past almost 50 years but villagers have seen a ray of hope after Nemcha Kipgen was elected as representative of Kangpokpi in 2012.There was no road, no light, no sustainable water supply, etc, in the past but now there is road, proper power connection and water connection in every household with the help of the local MLA.
Nemcha Kipgen, while addressing the gathering, said that Kangpokpi AC is like a mini-India where all communities exist and live peacefully compared to other districts of the state.
She recalled that right after the election in 2012, she toured and inspected every nook and corner of the constituency and took note of all situations and planned programmes accordingly.
She also said that Kalapahar area comprises various villages including Kharkhola and the area can be developed like Darjeeling.
She further said that the people of Kangpokpi AC must live without any doubt and fear along and continue to contribute their mite in promoting peace, unity and brotherhood.
Earlier, before the inauguration ceremony of Kharkhola ground, MLA Nemcha Kipgen in the presence of BJP Kangpokpi Mandal president Tingnei Lhouvum joined an 'Eigi Emung, BJP gi Emung' campaign launched at Upper Kalapahar where BJP flags were hoisted and pamphlets and books distributed.
