UAL declares stir till justice in Jiri case

Uripok Apunba Lup (UAL) has affirmed that the relay hunger strike - jointly organised by it and Uripok Apunba Nupi Lup against the abduction and merciless killing of six women and children by Kuki militants in Jiribam district - will continue until the killers are arrested.
In a release, UAL informed that the relay hunger strike has on Friday completed 14 days.
As no Kuki-Zo organisations have condemned the abduction and killing of women and kids, implying that they endorse violence against women and children, every Kuki-Zo organisation should be declared unlawful, demanded the Lup.
On Friday, the relay hunger strike was participated by Achom Leikai residents and members of Samaj Tengbang Lup, from 8 am to 12 noon, followed by locals of Uripok Yambem Leikai from 12 noon to 6 pm, while Naoremthong Laishram Leirak residents will join the stir from 6 pm to 8 am Saturday.
