Bishnupur registers 19 new Covid cases

Imphal, August 28 2021: Covid-19 infection in Bishnupur district is showing a declining trend as only 19 new cases from among the general population were detected on Saturday.

The total number of active case in the district stands at 285 .

A release by district information officer Bishnupur informed of the active cases, 101 patients are at community isolation centres, 90 under home isolation, 37 at hospitals outside the district, 11 at CCC Ningthoukhong, 41 at CCC Loukoipat Bishnupur and three in emergency ward and two in high dependency unit of district hospital.

The release further informed that 28 of the patients are under oxygen support while five of the cases are below the 18 years of age.

There is no report of Covid-19 death on Saturday from the district, it said, adding that the cumulative number of death cases is 262 as of date.

The DIO report also informed that 396 people were administered Covid-19 vaccine in the last 24 hours taking the total number of vaccinated persons to 1,49,202, including 25,114 who have received both doses.
