Students denounce scrapping of IGNOU exam centre

Churachandpur, May 25 2021: The Churachandpur Examination Centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has been removed and now many students who are planning to write their June TermEnd Examinations are in dire straits as they cannot find the Churachandpur examination centre, bearing code number 1702, on the website.

Many students have expressed utter disappointment over the removal of the Churachandpur IGNOU examination centre.

Churachandpur IGNOU centre has a large number of students, between 1500 and 2000, for all programmes offered by the centre and has the record of conducting each termend examination in smooth and fair manner.

Now, even the IGNOU building section has been closed down.

The only option left now for the students is to either fill up their examination forms for Moirang or Imphal centre, for which many of them have expressed their reluctance.
