Covid claims two in Bpr, newly infects 33

Imphal, May 24 2021: Bishnupur district on Monday reported two new fatalities due to COVID-19 taking the total death toll to 80 .

A daily bulletin released by the district information officer, Bishnupur informed that the victims - a 32-year old male and a 75-year old female - succumbed at Raj Medicity and RIMS hospital respectively.

It also informed that 33 persons from among the general population tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

With the new cases reported on Monday the total number of active cases in the district at present stands at 406 while the cumulative number of positive cases has reached 2313 .

Out of 406 active cases in the district, 255 are in home isolation, 34 in CCC Bishnupur and 10 at District Hospital while 107 have been referred or opted for treatment in hospitals out of the district.
