Passing out parade of 10 & 11 IRB recruits today

Imphal, December 22 2024: The passing out parade of 10th and 11th India Reserve Battalion (IRB) graduates, who have been undergoing training at Lachit Barphukan Police Academy (LBPA) in Dergaon, Assam, will be held at the academy's ground on Monday.

Chief minister N Biren along with other ministers, MLAs and top state police officials will be chartering a flight from Imphal airport to Guwahati to attend the ceremony.

Mention may be made that over 1,700 IRB recruits were flown via the Indian Air Force aircraft C-130 till Jorhat to undergo the training in Assam, after CM Biren requested Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma for the same owing to unrest situation in the state.
