'Declare results of power department job call'

Imphal, December 18 2024: Demanding declaration of results with regard to the recruitment of 907 posts for Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) & Manipur State Power Company Limited (MSPCL) conducted in 2019, within the current month (December), candidates, who appeared in the recruitment exercise have cautioned of launching agitations in case of failure to do so.

In a press meet held at Koubru Hall of Manipur Press Club, here, Wednesday, one Yumkhaibam Manoj termed as unfortunate non-declaration of the results even after three years.

He continued that minister concerned Thongam Biswajit was approached on the matter multiple times and he gave assurances on the same.

However, no action has been taken up till date.

Meanwhile, the minister had stated in the last assembly session to declare the results by December this year.

Seeing no signs of the results being declared till mid-December, the candidates met the minister last Wednesday during which he (minister) claimed that someone is preventing the results from being declared and sought more time to identify the same.

As such, the candidates tried to meet the Minister on Wednesday but failed to meet him, he recounted.

Expressing resentment over the minister's conduct, Manoj urged for the results to be declared within the on-going month, failing which intense agitations would be launched.
