Speaker's tribunal asks MLAs to file replies

Imphal, December 18 2021: The Speaker's Tribunal of Manipur Legislative Assembly has asked Congress MLA Yamthong Haokip, unattached MLA RK Imo and independent MLA Y Antas Khan to file their written replies to the disqualification petitions filed by Soibam Jiten and Md Ajim Hussain.

The petitions tiled by Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary S Jiten against Sagolband MLA RK Imo and Saikul MLA Yamthong Haokip were represented by petitioner's counsel Romel A.The respondents were represented by senior advocate Sh Paonam and Ajay Pebam.

The petition filed against Lilong MLA Antas Khan was represented by senior advocate Sh Paonam and the respondent was represented by his counsel Ajay Pebam.

The three respondents through their counsels prayed for granting six weeks' time to file their responses during the hearing conducted on Saturday but the Speaker instructed them to file the same by January 8 .
