Jiri bodies demand investigation into death of Seigoulen

Imphal, May 18 2024:
Expressing grief over the death of Seigoulen Singson alias Bosco Singson (21), son of Soikholet Singson of Phaitol village, Tousem sub-division, Tamenglong district, whose body was found floting in Jiri River near Moulzawl village, Jiribam on Friday; Jiri Development Organization (JDO) and United Jiri Youth League (UJYL) have demanded the authority concerned to order an investigate to punish the perpetrator(s) as per law, if any wrongdoing is found during the post-mortem of the body.
In a joint release, JDO president E Dewan Singh and UJYL general secretary Chinglemba Khuman conveyed that the deceased had gone missing since June 14, after which Kuki Inpi Jiribam & Tamenglong had requested CSOs, clubs and organisations for help in finding him, which was reciprocated by the Jiri bodies.
The joint release further appealed to all communities to desist from any blame game so as not to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in the district.
