DC issues notice for road expansion

Imphal, June 17 2022: Kakching district deputy commissioner Somorjit Salam has notified six roads that fall under Kakching district for the proposed road widening project under PWD Manipur.

The roads include Wabagai Lamkhai to Sugnu road, Pallel Mantak road, Kakching Hospital road, Sengrong to Anganching road, Kakching Langmeidong road and Kakching DC Approach road.

In a notification, the DC informed all concerned, particularly the residents of Kakching district whose houses/commercial shops, establishments, etc., are situated adjacent to the said roads to co-operate in the proposed widening of the roads.

SDOs Kakching/Waikhong, Kakching district are also directed to take up necessary action for fixing boundaries of the proposed width of 'Right of Way' of the roads along with officials of executive engineer, PWD Kakching and to submit a detailed report at the earliest.

Any encroachment on state land/road found must also be evicted under due process of law, it instructed.
