"Hope in Motion: Healing through Film" held

Global Shapers Community Imphal Hub, in coordination with office of the Imphal East deputy commissioner (DC), NFDC, and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, organised a programme titled "Hope in Motion: Healing through Film" at Heingang Higher Secondary School, Imphal East on Thursday.
The event is aimed at promoting emotional healing among school children through films.
As chief guest of the programme, Imphal East DC Kh Diana Devi shared how her passion for films helped her become an IAS officer.
Recalling her UPSC interview, she highlighted how questions related to her love for movies had played a role in shaping her journey.
She lauded the initiative, describing it as a "powerful tool for fostering learning and emotional recovery".
Other notable attendees included SDC Pinky Luwang, and Imphal East deputy inspector of schools, ZEO Zone II, S Shantakumar.
Speaking about the event's purpose, Global Shapers Community Imphal Hub curator Zuicy Beauty explained, "The goal of this programme is to show children that education goes beyond textbooks, using films to inspire healing and learning among children affected by the ongoing conflict".
The initiative highlighted the role of creative mediums like films in addressing the emotional well-being of students, particularly in challenging times, and showcases the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders to support children in their journey of learning and recovery.
