MLA RK Imo stresses health accessibility for all

Imphal, February 15 2025: In a continued effort to ensure well-being of senior citizens, members of Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee (SCPC) came forward to support the enrolment drive for Pradhan Mantri Jan Ar-ogya Yojana (PMJAY), which was conducted on Saturday for the third time at the residence of Sagolband A/C MLA Rk Imo Singh.

In a release, PRO to MLA Ng Shashikanta said that the initiative, aimed at providing access to quality healthcare for elderly citizens aged 70 and above, saw an overwhelming response from the local community, with over 120 beneficiaries enrolled.

With the enrolment drive, more senior citizens will now have access to essential medical treatments, hospital admissions, and life-saving procedures without the burden of financial constraints.

Speaking on the occa sion, MLA Rk Imo Singh, expressed his commitment to ensuring healthcare accessibility for all, adding that healthcare for senior citizens is one of the most important aspects which need to be taken care of in society.

"Their well-being is our responsibility, and through this initiative, we are ensuring that they receive the medical care they deserve without any financial stress," the MLA said, urging all eligible beneficiaries to come forward and enrol in PMJAY to secure a healthier future.
