Imphal, October 14 2024: Some unknown persons reportedly fled after admitting a dead person as sick patient at Khurkhul Primary Health Centre (PHC) under Sekmai police station on Monday.

According to a police report, three persons brought a man in a car to Khurkhul PHC for treatment around 4.30pm Monday.

As the doctor on duty was attending the 'patient', the three people left the PHC.

Later, it was found that the man they had brought for treatment had already died.

Sekmai Police has registered a UD case.

The deceased bore marks of bruises, suspected to be due to brutal beatings, on his body.

The cause of death is yet to be determined and the body is being kept at RIMS morgue for post mortem examination and identification purposes.

Meanwhile, as per report received late on Monday evening, the deceased is believed to be from Laipham Khunou.
