MP Sanajaoba bats for promoting Thang-Ta

Imphal, June 13 2022: Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba has stressed the need for teaching the young people of the state Thang-Ta for maintaining healthy body and mind, as well as instil discipline, decorum and nationalism.

Speaking during the valedictory function of a Thang-Ta Workshop cum Training camp- 2022 organised by Thang-Ta Loishang Sana Konung Utra Shanglen on Monday, Sanajaoba pointed out that strong and healthy young people, with a proper sense of discipline, decorum, nationalism and respect of teachers are needed for development of every nook and cranny of the state and the society.

Thang-Ta can prove to be the best solution in this regard, he suggested.

Appreciating the conduct of the workshop cum training camp, the MP noted that around 40 people participated in the camp, which was held for a few days.

As such, he assured of seeing to it that the camp is held for not less than 40 days in the future.

Presided over by Thang-Ta Loishang Thouburel Thingbaijam Ibohalbi Meetei, the closing function was also attended by Sana Konung Custom secretary Thokchom Ibungohal as guest of honour.

In all, 41 students and 17 teachers took part in the 10-day camp.

While the teachers were honoured with simple gifts, certificates were distributed to the students on the occasion.
