Kuki militants target Meetei house, roads

Jiribam, December 12 2024:
Apart from attempting to subvert vital roads in Jiribam using lEDs, Kuki militants destroyed the house of one Ningthoujam Yaima (60) of Narayanpur Meetei village, by triggering explosions on Wednesday.
The incident occurred around 8:45 pm, when Kuki militants targeted Yaima's house located about 1 km from Borobekra police station.
As Yaima and his family are taking refuge in a relief camp set up at the police station, the militants took advantage of their absence to carry out the attack.
It may be mentioned that two lEDs were discovered along the Jiri Tipaimukh road, between Makhabasti and Chutobekra
on December 7 .
The bomb disposal team neutralised the devices.
