Amazon festival sees record-breaking opening

Imphal, October 10 2024: The Amazon Great Indian Festival 2024 tasted remarkable success, achieving its largest opening ever for sellers and surpassing all expectations.

In the first 48 hours of the launch, the event attracted over 11 crore customers, with 80 percent of the shoppers from Tier 2 and smaller towns.

Additionally, the festival had highest number of prime members shopping in the first 24 hours of Prime Early Access (PEA) .

Small and medium businesses (SMBs), including women entrepreneurs, weavers and artisans, experienced significant success with over 1500 units sold per minute in the first 48 hours.

Notably, promotional events of the festival had impressive participation from the Imphal region, reflecting the Amazon Great Indian Festival's expanding reach beyond major metropolitan areas, signifying potential to uplift local businesses within Imphal and contribute to their economic development.
