Imphal, August 09 2022:
While maintaining that India lacks the basic elements of being a nation state as reflected by the Indian Independence Act 1947, the Coordination Committee (CorCom), an umbrella body of the major armed revolutionary outfits operating in Manipur, has categorically stated that India was divided into Dominion of India and Dominion of Pakistan under Section 1(1) of the Indian Independence Act.
The British India government annulled all the agreements and treaties it signed with 565 princely states under Section 7(b) of the Indian Independence Act 1947 and thus Kangleipak (Manipur) regained its independence.
Accordingly, the Manipur national flag was hoisted on the night of August, 14, 1947 after the British left and it signified restoration of Manipur's sovereignty.
As Manipur marched on to a new path of constitutional monarchy after regaining sovereignty, the first general election was held in 1949 .
Thus, Manipur became one of the first few countries in the entire Asiatic continent to form a democratic government and the fact that Manipur had regained its independence was testified by India's annexation in 1949, the CorCom pointed out and alleged that expansionist India occupied Manipur by using military force on October 15,1949 .
The CorCom also contended that India withdrew all the mechanisms to check entry of non-local people and as a result population of non-local people rose dramatically in Manipur (Kangleipak) .
Apart from this, Government of India enforced draconian law, AFSPA, and committed a series of crimes upon the indigenous peoples of WESEA including Manipur (Kangleipak).
Given these historical facts, the recent directive to hoist the Indian National flag at every house to commemorate the 75th year of India's Independence looks awkward in the context of WESEA and Manipur (Kangleipak), the CorCom said and maintained that Modi's instruction to fly Indian National flag over every house is a new strategy to extinguish the spirit of smaller nations which were independent earlier and their yearning for freedom.
The CorCom also alleged that Government of India has been producing a number of literatures in cahoots with a handful of traitorous writers to project the region's fight against British colonial rulers as a part of India's Brahmini-cal nationalism.
People of WESEA are now being subjected to racism and political violence.
CAA, uniform civil code, scrapping of Article 370 and the recent order to hoist Indian national flag are nothing but ideological violence, the CorCom alleged.
According to the CorCom statement, India should never forget that people of Manipur (Kangleipak) always hold dear their history of freedom and it has its own national flag while asserting that Indian national flag does not signify the freedom of Manipur (Kangleipak).
The outfit then appealed to all the people of Manipur (Kangleipak) not to hoist the Indian national flag on August 15 .
