MIYC plans Delhi rally on September 21

Imphal, August 08 2024: With an objective to jointly fight all forces trying to disintegrate Manipur, Manipur International Youth Centre (MIYC) along with different organisations will take out a public rally in Delhi on September 21 .

In a release, MIYC alleged that Indian government's attempt to disintegrate Manipur post May 3, 2023 is still continuing.

So, the indigenous communities of Manipur need to join hands and fight against such attempt.

As such, MIYC along with different organisations within and outside of Manipur will organise a public rally in New Delhi and all the expenses of the rallyists will be borne by the organisation, it added.

He further informed that a 50 member delegation of different communities, intellectuals, students, women and representative of CSOs will meet the Prime Minister and exert pressure to include a provision not to implement Article 3 of the Indian constitution in Manipur and to make a categorical statement not to disrupt the territorial integrity of Manipur in both houses of the parliament.
