Animal health camp held in Kaprang village

Imphal, December 07 2024:
Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Senapati, in collaboration with the district veterinary office, Kangpokpi, organised a one-day animal health camp as part of the on-going Krishi Swarna Samridhhi Week, commemorating the golden jubilee of KVKs across India, in Kaprang village on Saturday.
Senior scientist & head of KVK Dr N Jyotsna highlighted the significance of the nation-wide Krishi Swarna Samridhhi Week.
Subject Matter Specialist (veterinary science) Dr N Muhindro emphasised the role of vaccinations in ensuring healthy and productive livestock.
Veterinary officer Dr Kokho Kapani explained the importance of mineral supplementation for animals, while SMS (plant breeding & genetics) Dr T Ratan discussed the benefits of establishing nutri-gardens at home.
Farm manager K Homen provided insights into plant health management in farmers' fields.
Vaccination for livestock, including Foot and Mouth Disease for cattle, Swine Fever for pigs, and Rabies for dogs was provided during the camp.
Additionally, mineral mixtures for livestock and agri-inputs for nutri-gardens were distributed to the farmers.
