E-shram cards distributed

NPP's intending candi -date for Patsoi assembly constituency Chungkham Bijoy distributed e-shram cards to labourers of the constituency in a function held at his Kwakeithel Thounaojam Leikai residence on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Bijoy called for public support in improving the living standards of the people of Patsoi assembly constituency, especially the poor families.
The e-shram card is provided under a scheme implemented by the central government for the welfare of the labour class people, he said, while assuring of expanding the coverage to include as many people as possible in the days to come.
Stating that there are many candidates, who rely on their muscle and money power to win the election, he urged the people of the constituency to exercise their voting rights wisely and choose the right candidate, who will stay committed to their welfare and development of the constituency.
National People's Party, which has become the eighth national party of the country, has its roots in Patsoi assembly constituency.
Due to its ideologies and policies for the northeast region and its people, the party's popularity is increasing day by day, he said, while urging the people of Patsoi AC to support the party in the forthcoming state assembly election.
Bijoy also handed over disability certificate and CMHT card to one Loitongbam Rashini, who has last her sight.
While thanking Bijoy for his help in getting the cards, Rashini conveyed that she has not got any assistance from the local MLA till date even though she was told by local Meira Paibi members that the MLA assured of helping her.
