Flag hoisting ceremonies of NPP, ID-U candidates held

Flag hoisting ceremony of Keishamthong MLA L Jayantakumar, who is going to contest the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election from the same constituency as NPP candidate, was held on Thursday at his Pishumthong Oinam Leikai residence.
L Jayantakumar himself hoisted the NPP flag at the courtyard of his house after performing traditional rituals in the presence of people from different polling booths of the constituency.
Later, a public meeting was held at YLL community hall nearby wherein several party leaders and local leaders attended.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Jayantakumar said that NPP is different from other political parties as it is action oriented and does not make false promises like other parties.
While other political parties presented vision ahead of election which is forgotten after the election, NPP.implements people-oriented works with action plan and moves further, he said and appealed to people join hand with NPP to convert development agenda of the party into action.
The flag hoisting ceremony of Thangjam Arunkumar, who will be contesting the upcoming polls on JD(U) ticket, was also held at his residence in Chingmeirong on Thursday.
Speaking to newspersons with regard to the ceremony, Arunkumar affirmed that he is contesting the election with the objective of bringing huge changes and development in Wangkhei AC, and vowed that he would never break his promises made to the denizens of the constituency.
As part of the flag hoisting ceremony, a public meeting was also organised which was attended by JD(U) general secretary north east in-charge Afaque Ahmad Khan, party state president Hangkhanpao Taithul, state Yuva president Ksh Apollo, state Yuva vice president Laishram Suresh, state women wing president Ngairangbam Sundari, Keirao AC party candidate Yumnam Shanta, Kshetrigao AC candidate Wahengbam Rojit and Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC candidate K Manoranjan.
Addressing the gathering, Afaque Ahmad Khan said that majority of the party's candidates will win big in the polls and see to the formation of the new government.
He then said that Bihar CM and party president Nitish Kumar was declared as the best CM according to a survey report.
The so-called double engine government of BJP followed the example of Nitish Kumar government in reserving 50 seats for women in the Panchayat.
