JAC memo to CM demands arrest of culprits

Imphal, May 02 2022:
The JAC formed in connection with the death of Loushambam Rabichandra has submitted a memorandum to the CM on Monday, demanding arrest of all those involved in the killing at the earliest.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here, JAC secretary Akoijam Birjit demanded filing of charge sheet without further delay so that those involved are prevented from securing bail.
Further stating that a competent and experienced investigation officer should probe the case, he also asked the government to provide compensation to family of the deceased to help alleviate their emotional and financial distress to some extent.
Informing that the memorandum containing aforementioned demands was also submitted to Lamlai MLA, Manipur police DGP and Imphal East SP, Birjit cautioned of launching intense protest if the government ignores their demands.
