MPCC team inspects landslide hit site

Imphal, June 30 2022: A team of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) led by president K Meghachandra inspected the landslide affected site at Marangching village near Tupul railway station in Noney district wherein eight bodies have been recovered and many feared buried.

The MPCC team, which also included vice president Hareswar Goswami, ex-minister Biren, legal advisor advocate S Samachoron, spokesperson Ningombam Bhupenda Meitei along media team and PCC office bearers reached the site at about 8.30 pm.

After inspecting the site, Meghachandra said that the incident was very unfortunate and heart - breaking and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to extend immediate help including sending of additional NDRF and SDRF personnel to help in the rescue operation.

He also appealed to both state and Central governments to extend help to the landslide affected victims.
