CMHT to cover IDPs for one year

Imphal, November 29 2024: The state government has ordered the inclusion of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) living in designated relief camps, excluding government employees and pensioners, as eligible for enrolment under the Chief Ministergi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) scheme for one year.

As per the order issued by the joint secretary of health and family welfare, IDPs must provide Aadhaar card and IDP certificate issued by DCs of the district where the relief camps are located, which is valid for one year.

The decision, approved by the state cabinet on October 10, and concurred by the finance department on November 19, aims to support displaced individuals in accessing healthcare, the order added.
