India will achieve USD 5 trillion economy target: MoS Ranjan

Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Education Dr RK Ranjan visited Binh Doung New City, Vietnam on September 25 to 27 to participate in the Horasis Global India Business Meeting.
The meeting was co-hosted by Binh Duong Province (Vietnam) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
During his keynote address, MoS Dr Ranjan said that Horasis India meetings, since its inception in 2009, have become an important economic forum for Indian business leaders and their global counterparts to discuss on a wide range of sectors and strategise their global ambitions.
Talking about Prime Minister's vision of 'Aatma-Nirbhar Bharat', the minister highlighted the strides made by India on its way to achieve the target of making India USD 5 trillion economy.
He welcomed the participating business leaders to join in and benefit from India's growth story.
Dr Ranjan also interacted with Le Minh Khai, Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam and reviewed the progress in the bilateral relations under the guidelines set by the historic Joint Vision for Peace, Prosperity and People adopted during the Bilateral Virtual Summit held in December 2020.Vietnam remains an important pillar in India's 'Act East Policy' and the 'Indo Pacific Vision'.
Dr Ranjan also met Nguyen Van Loi, Party Secretary of Binh Duong Province and Nguyen Van Nen, Party Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City during the visit.
Horasis as an organisation, which creates platforms for partnership with corporations from emerging markets for cooperation between emerging and developed markets.
Their flagship events include country specific events like Horasis USA Meeting, Horasis Asia Meeting and Horasis Global Meeting, apart from Horasis India Meeting.
Since 2009, Horasis India Meetings have evolved into a platform for interaction between Indian business leaders and their global counterparts.
The last two editions were held virtually.
Later, the Consulate General of India, Ho Chi Minh City organised an interaction with Indian community in honour of the visiting MoS Dr RK Ranjan, during which he highlighted various initiatives taken by the Government of India for the welfare of Indian diaspora community and assured them that Indian Missions abroad will always remain 'home away from home' for all the Indian diasporas.
