Public meeting on anti-drug held

Imphal, October 18 2021:
Sustaining the efforts of fighting against abuse of addictive substances, Coalition against Drugs & Alcohol (CADA) and Lamboikhul Lamjing Nupi Kanglup has organised a public meeting at Lamboikhul on Monday.
In a release, CADA publicity secretary Khundongbam Anand said that the meeting was attended by Kanglup president Moirangthem Momon, CADA Uyumpok advisor Karam Rabei and CADA president Hijam Priyokumar as presidium members.
Speaking at the meeting, CADA vice president DIpanjit Ningthoujam noted that addictive substances continued to be seized by security forces along Imphal Moreh road and national highways connecting with neighbouring states almost every day despite Covid-19 restrictions.
With Manipur Legislative assembly election approaching, he also stressed the need to elect candidates who could protect youth of Manipur from addictive substances.
